Effect of Vehicle Dielectric Properties on Rectal Absorption of Acetaminophen

The rectal absorption of acetaminophen from an aqueous suspension, a propylene glycol suspension, and a theobroma oil suppository was measured by urinary excretion. The results are discussed in terms of their relationship to the dielectric constants of the vehicles.
