Zusammenfassung:Hemoglobin Willamette alpha sub(2) beta sub(2)51(D2)Pro arrow right Arg was first found in a North American Black family, No clinical symptoms were present in heterozygotes for this mutant. The authors resport here a second family in which Hb Willamette was found in a 15-year-old Black Cuban girl studied at the Institute of Hematology in Havana, where she was referred for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The variant was also present in the father.
