Zusammenfassung:Epithelial-like cells from livers of 10-day-old rats were separated from fibroblast-like cells on the basis of differential attachment to a culture surface. After further elimination of persisting fibroblast-like cells from the cultures of epithelial-like cells, lines of the latter cell type were initiated and these maintained their morphology for up to nine months of continuous culture and displayed no tumorigenicity upon injection into syngeneic hosts.
