Trifascicular block — An electrocardiographic, hemodynamic and pathological correlation

A case of permanent block of the anteriordivision of the left bundle with intermittent block of the left posterior division and the right bundle leading to advanced block is described. Histology demonstrated damage to the right and left bundles with a normal atrioventricular node and Bundle of His. Hemodynamic measurements revealed altered patterns of myocardial contraction when the conduction varied. To our knowledge, this is the first recorded case of this entity correlating electrocardiographic, hemodynamic and pathological findings.
