Zusammenfassung:	An epizootic of the A₂/Hong Kong/68 strain of influenza virus pathogenic for humans occurred in a large colony of gibbons in a laboratory following experimental studies with this virus. The clinical disease in gibbons was characterized by signs of infection of the upper respiratory tract and low mortality. Pulmonary lesions that resembled those seen in human and experimentally infected animals were observed.
