Zusammenfassung: | An anthropometric survey was carried out in Egypt in the period between June 1982 and March 1983. A set of 44 body dimensions were taken from a sample of 4960 Egyptian female subjects, age range 20-65 years. The subjects were selected randomly and covered all socio-economic, religious, and ethnic groups. A specially designed portable anthropometer and four other traditional instruments were used throughout the survey. Findings and data from the survey are presented in a format usable as a reference by designers and engineers. The results show that there are significant differences in the body build, dimensions and proportions between Egyptian women, and European and American women. |
