The isolation and properties of mitochondria from rat pancreas
A technique for the isolation of functional rat pancreatic mitochondria is described. The resultant mitochondrial preparations contained oligomycin-insensitive Mg 2+-ATPase activity and coupled respiration could only be demonstrated in the absence of Mg 2+ and in the presence of EDTA.
