Zusammenfassung:	A new procedure based on liquid-solid chromatography for the extraction of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons has been implemented. This yields results analogous to those of Soxhlet extraction for low molecular weight compounds. A very important reduction in the time required for sample preparation prior to gas chromatography/mass spectrometry analysis is obtained.
