Zusammenfassung:	The preparation of a reagent capable of reversibly attaching polyethylene glycol to proteins and the use of this material in modifying the plasminogen activators urokinase- and tissue-type plasminogen activator are described. The characterisation and the reversible nature of these protein-polymer conjugates are discussed, and some of the in vitro properties of these modified enzymes are explored.
