Zusammenfassung:Two techniques are available for determining the most suitable pH conditions for performing ion-exchange chromatography with macroporous media: the electrophoretic titration curve approach and the retention mapping method. The ready determination of this parameter should provide optimal conditions for truly high-performance ion-exchange chromatography of biologically active macromolecules. Both methods are known to be effective only with macroporous media.
