Zusammenfassung:ABSTRACT Preliminary results indicate that a new laser Doppler flowmeter is more easily understood by nursing personnel than other laser Doppler units currently available. This monitor has demonstrated its capability in identifying and predicting tissue ischemia before clinically determined failure. Further evaluation of the device is warranted to define its use more clearly in the clinical setting.
