Atrial Fibrillation Induced by Testing Magnet Applied to VVI Pacemaker

The first known case of testing magnet‐induced atrial fibrillation in a patient with a VVI pacemaker is reported. A macro‐re‐entry mechanism is postulated, involving retrograde conduction from the ventricle through the AV node to the atrium following an asynchronous pacemaker stimulus.
