HLA-A and B antigens and pulmonary tuberculosis in greeks

A significantly increased frequency of the HLA-B 27 antigen was found in Greek adult patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, This finding is discussed in connection with the literature, and it is suggested that the HLA system is involved in the pathogenesis of the disease.
