Zusammenfassung: | Bilateral parotid gland swelling, xerostomia with loss of taste sensation, and dryness of the eyes were the presenting symptoms of a male patient who soon afterward developed Boeck's sarcoidosis. Histopathologic involvement of the minor labial salivary glands was observed. Some interesting features of the clinical course of the disease and the salivary gland changes before and after treatment, as shown by salivary flow rate and biochemical studies, are presented. |
