Pharmacokinetics of Halothane in man: A novel approach

A unique 54-detector whole-body counter was used to follow the uptake, distribution and excretion of a single breath of halothane- 82Br. In a compartmental analysis of the data with the SAAM program, the sum of two exponentials provided an excellent fit. One exponent probably reflects initial uptake and excretion; the second, distribution to viscera. Dans une analyse compartimentale des données avec le programme SAAM, la somme de deux exponentielles rendit un accord excellent. Il est probable que l'un des exponents réfléchit l'absorption et l'excrétion initiales; l'autre, la distribution aux viscères. PHARMAKOKINETIK VON HALOTHAN IM MENSCHEN: EINE NEUARTIGE ARBEITSWEISE Ein neuartiger 54-Detektor-Ganzköper-Zähler wurde dazu benutzt, die Aufnahme, Verteilung und Ausscheidung eines einzigen Atemzuges von Halothan- 82Br zu verfolgen. In einer abteilungsweisen Analyse der Daten mit dem SAAM Programm ergab die Summe der beiden Exponentialfunktionen eine vorzügliche Passung. Ein Exponent gibt wabrscheinlich die anfängliche Aufnahme und Ausscheidung wieder und der zweite die Verteilung an die Eingeweide.
