Zusammenfassung:MARIHUANA and hashish have been used for centuries and the literature abounds with references to their effects. Only recently, however, have carefully controlled studies attempted to relate dose level and route of administration of Δ 9 -tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ 9 -THC), the principal psychoactive constituent of Cannabis sativa , to subjective and objective physiological, behavioural and mentational effects 1–3 . Attempts have also been made to compare the effects of Δ 9 -THC with those of ethanol 4 .
