Zusammenfassung: | A procedure was developed that enabled the investigator to isolate and to identify virus and virus type in one cultural step. The development and morphology of each virus was studied on monolayers of chicken embryo fibroblasts. The response of individual plaques were compared in several tests. Samples from seven of ten serials of vaccines contaminated with Newcastle disease virus (NDV) were found to contain a lentogenic strain of NDV. Six tissue-culture procedures were used. Six isolates were typed as NDV-LaSota-like, and one was typed as NDV-B1-like. |
