Studies on the nucleic acids of human lymphocytic cells: Acetylation of histones

Histones have been isolated from human lymphocytic cells in culture and purified through column chromatography. These human lymphocytic cells deriving from various lymphoproliferative diseases incorporate 3H-acetate to differing degrees. Distribution of 3H-acetate label indicated that lysine-rich hi...

Zusammenfassung:Histones have been isolated from human lymphocytic cells in culture and purified through column chromatography. These human lymphocytic cells deriving from various lymphoproliferative diseases incorporate 3H-acetate to differing degrees. Distribution of 3H-acetate label indicated that lysine-rich histones were the least, while arginine-rich histones were the most, extensively acetylated.
