Effect of hemoglobin on ferricyanide-dependent assays

Aged solutions of ferricyanide have been shown to interfere with the spectrophotometric assay of enzyme preparations containing hemoglobin by virtue of the presence of cyanide ion. The use of 412 mμ is recommended.
