In this study, a group of adolescent psychiatric inpatients was assessed using the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia (SADS), the Research Diagnostic Criteria, and the DST. The DST appears to be as sensitive and specific to endogenous depression in adolescents as it is in adults, and it may be a useful adjunct in diagnosis and in the prescription and monitoring of treatment. |
