R,S)-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate, at pH 7.4 where spontaneous hydrolysis is not detected. The reagent is solubilized by 0.02% Triton X-100 in the presence of 1.0% ethanol. A simple procedure for the synthesis and separation of the isomers is described.
