Zusammenfassung:The authors outline a therapy program for bulimic patients that combines individual and group psychotherapy with nutritional counseling. The latter ensures physical assessment throughout treatment while providing a reliable information and education service. This type of intervention facilitates a change of eating patterns and thereby enables the patients to control the eating disorder. Eventually, treatment reduces obsessive-compulsive behavior and permits better use of leisure time.
