Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this pilot study was to determine the percentage of cholesterol screening participants with no prior testing and cholesterol values exceeding 5.20 mmol/L who complied with advice to seek further medical assessment. This study also evaluated changes in dietary and health practices following cholesterol screening. If individuals identified as being at high risk do not initiate dietary or health-related changes with the assistance of medical consultation, then cholesterol screening programs may serve simply to inform people of their cholesterol level |
