Zusammenfassung:The uptake and elimination of phenanthrene by mussels (Arca zebra), collected in Bermuda, were investigated, and the results were compared with those obtained previously for other molluscs from sub-tropical areas. Elimination of phenanthrene from the tissues was more efficient than in species from temperate regions.
