In an attempt to further characterize the coupling mechanisms of serotoninergic receptors, here we examined the involvement of serotonin in the phospholipase A2 activity. Serotonin dose-dependently stimulated phospholipase A2. This activation enhanced collagenase type II activity and had no effect on proteoglycanase activity. |
