3-[( N-acetyl- l-seryl)amino]-3,6-dideoxy- d-glucose: A novel constituent of a bacterial antigenic polysaccharide

3-[(N-Acetyl- l-seryl)amino]-3,6-dideoxy- d-glucose has been identified as a sugar component of the O-specific polysaccharide of Escherichia coli O114, principally on the basis of n.m.r. and mass-spectral data.
