Zusammenfassung: | Extract: A nutrition attitude scale for use with university nutrition students was modeled on the Carruth and Anderson attitude scale. Content validity for the Attitude Toward Nutrition Scale (ATNS) was achieved by a review panel of experts. The ATNS and the Rokeach Dogmatism Scale were administered simultaneously for criterion-related validity indicating a reasonable construct relationship. Reliability was demonstrated by a coefficient alpha of 0.84 and a split-half reliability estimate of 0.86. The new scale excludes statements regarding nutrition knowledge and avoids sexist language.
