Zusammenfassung:In chemical peptide synthesis, various protecting groups have been optimized for application in organic media. However, enzymatic peptide synthesis also proceeds in aqueous solutions. Due to their insolubility in water, groups like Fmoc or Z are not optimal for the aqueous reaction media, especially if the kinetically controlled approach is used. Our aim was to investigate different protecting groups with regard to their application in enzymatic peptide synthesis.
