Zusammenfassung: | Despite the still widespread opinion that carotido-basilary anastomosis is exclusively a coincidental finding during angiography or autopsy, reports on the significance of this vascular anomaly in connection with a variety of cerebral symptoms and illnesses have appeared in recent years.
