Zusammenfassung:Steps in supramolecular chemistry: Molecules in the form of linear templates have been used to preorganize polyenes in the solid state through hydrogen‐bonding interactions. The polyenes can then undergo [2+2] photocycloaddition reactions to produce [3]‐ and [5]ladderanes in gram quantities and 100 % yield. (The picture shows the obtained [5]ladderane.)
