Bilateral Intraosseous Ganglia of the Lunates: Bone Imaging, CT Scanning, and Plain Film Correlation

Intense focal uptake of Tc-99m HDP was observed in bilateral intraosseous ganglia of the lunates. The left wrist had been intermittently symptomatic since a resisted dorsiflexion injury 9 years previously; the right lunate lesion was discovered incidentally. Plain radiographs and CT scanning depicted these benign cystic lesions and correlated well with the bone scan findings.
