Zusammenfassung:	The case of a patient with temporal lobe hemorrhage is presented. This is the first report of use of a new three-dimensional data acquisition system that entails free-hand scanning with three-dimensional transcranial duplex sonography. Three-dimensional image reconstruction reduced the spatial asymmetry inherent in oblique two-dimensional ultrasonography, making evaluation of the precise location, size, and anatomic relations of intracranial hemorrhage easier.
