Zusammenfassung: | Segawa’s syndrome is a rare hereditary progressive dystonia with diurnal fluctuation, which, in contrast to other types of chronic dystonia in children, responds dramatically to levodopa therapy. We present a case of a patient, suffering from Segawa’s syndrome who underwent two cesarean sections, and we describe our experience in providing anesthesia to that patient. The first cesarean section was performed with general anesthesia, while the second was accomplished with epidural anesthesia. On both occasions the anesthesia was uneventful. |
