Zusammenfassung:To the Editor: Ho et al. 1 and Baltimore and Feinberg 2 (Dec. 14 issue) suggest that "residual"1 or "lingering" 2 doubts about the virus-acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) hypothesis are now resolved by new evidence of viremia in patients with AIDS. 1 2 3 A paper of mine 4 is cited as the source of these doubts. For the following reasons, my doubts remain unresolved. The data of both Ho et al. 1 and Coombs et al. 3 include patients with AIDS with very low or no titers of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), ranging from 0 to 10 infectious units per milliliter, just as low as in asymptomatic . . .
