Zusammenfassung:The problem of MHC nomenclature was discussed at the recent meeting on The Primate MHC (November 19-22, 1989, in Oegstgeest, The Netherlands); the proposal was accepted by the participants and will be used by researchers in primate MHC. It is hoped that MHC designations for other species will also be chosen according to the proposed rules. (We do not propose, however, to change well-established designations such as HLA and H-2).
