Zusammenfassung:	One case of primary adenocarcinoma of the middle ear is reported, which developed from a chronic otitis media. Histological examination established the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma. Its clinical appearance was benign, being restricted to the middle ear and tympanic membrane and with no bone destruction or metastases. Two years after local surgery there was no evidence of recurrence.
