Zusammenfassung:Continued progression of atherosclerosis after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) can cause renewed symptoms in patients who are older, often sicker, and have a higher risk for complications from surgery or angioplasty than those with de novo disease. Devices that ablate atheroma and stents that maintain patency of treated arteries offer an attractive alternative to reoperation or angioplasty.
