Osseous hemangioma of the zygoma: A case report

Osseous hemangioma is a rare lesion, its incidence being 0.5% to 1% of all osseous neoplasms. It is usually found in vertebral column and calvaria; in the maxillofacial region it has been reported in mandible, maxilla, and nasal bones. It is unusual in zygoma, and the literature reports only 20 cases. This report describes a case of zygomatic bone hemangioma and its reconstruction by a calvarial flap pedicled on the temporalis fascia and muscle.
