Zusammenfassung:Transesophageal Doppler echocardiography can noninvasively evaluate the functional results of left anterior descending coronary artery angioplasty. Coronary flow reserve assessed by this technique is significantly increased only in those patients with less severe residual stenosis as detected by intravascular ultrasound, thus allowing a noninvasive assessment of the results of left anterior coronary artery angioplasty.
