Zusammenfassung:	Crude somatic antigens from isolated and ultrasonically treated trypanosomes were fractionated by column chromatography. A protein-free antigenic fraction was isolated which reacted monospecifically when tested against hyperimmune sera from rabbits. The method has a potential application in the improvement of serodiagnosis of trypanosomiasis.
