Spontaneous Intramural Perforation of the Esophagus: Case Report and Review of the Literature

Summary A 47-year-old male suffered spontaneous intramural perforation of his esophagus following tracheostomy and nasogastric intubation. The reports of this unusual lesion in the literature are reviewed, and the characteristic radiographic and endoscopic features demonstrated.
