Mechanism of signal transduction by TRH

This report summarizes data that define the intracellular mediators of both phases of the biphasic stimulation of PRL secretion caused by TRH and presents a new model to describe the generation of these messenger molecules. It is important to note that although I will present evidence for this hypothesis only from studies conducted in my own laboratory, several other laboratories have made important contributions that I have incorporated into this model of TRH action.
