Zusammenfassung: | This study documents the contribution made to women's health by the 177 obstetricians and gynaecologists trained at The Royal Women's Hospital in the 35‐year period 1960–1994. Whilst there were no female graduates during the first 15 years of the study period, female trainees now outnumber male trainees. Royal Women's Hospital‐trained specialists are less likely to practise in Victorian provincial cities than graduates who have trained elsewhere. During the study period there has been a notable increase in the proportion of graduates entering subspecialist practice with a consequent decrease in the proportion providing obstetrics care. |
