Zusammenfassung: | Recently, Jorgensen and Eichwald reported that injection of C57BL/6 (B6) female mice with cultured fibroblasts from syngeneic males resulted in accelerated rejection of subsequent syngeneic male skin grafts, whereas the priming of B6 females with cultured fibroblasts from human males (xenogeneic cells) did not show this effect. In the hope of developing a practicable test for H-Y in cases of abnormal sexual development, Jorgensen and Eichwald attempted to confirm the results of Wiberg, i.e., to prime B6 female mice with cultured human fibroblasts and look for accelerated graft rejection of subsequent B6 male grafts. Jorgensen and Eichwald claim to have followed Wiberg's protocol in their attempts to confirm the latter author's results. However, there are major differences between the method used by Wiberg and that by Jorgensen and Eichwald. |
