Zusammenfassung: | The 70% EtOH extract of the aerial parts of Catasetum barbatum LINDLE showed inhibitory effects on carrageenin-induced paw edema when topically applied to rats and on histamine-induced contraction in guinea pig ileum. Four compounds including a new phenanthrene, 2, 7-dihydroxy-3, 4, 8-trimethoxyphenanthrene (2), were isolated from the active fraction. 2, 7-Dihydroxy-3, 4-dimethoxyphenanthrene (1) showed inhibitory effects in both biological assays. |
