Zusammenfassung: | Raman spectroscopy was used for the study of a sequential family of organoaluminum compounds. The compounds were prepared by redistribution reactions between trimethylaluminum and tri‐tert‐butoxyaluminum, leading to molecules with all possible ligand combinations. In the liquid phase, these compounds exist as dimers linked by bridging ligands involved in three‐center bonding. Terminal groups are exchanged first followed by the bridging groups. Characteristic group wavenumbers and molecular modes were compared at every stage of redistribution in the spectral range of 1100–150 cm−1. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. |
