Trauma epidemiology in the martial arts : The results of an eighteen-year international survey

The results of an 18-year international survey on trauma epidemiology in the martial arts found that there is a significant risk of injury in the martial arts, the majority of injuries are mild-to-moderate in severity and the most commonly injured area is the lower extremity.
