Zusammenfassung:	An experiment was conducted to evaluate serum changes of four acute phase proteins, ferritin, ceruloplasmin, transferrin, and apolipoprotein-Al, in patients with malignant tumors receiving fractionated irradiation. Radiation treatment was found to cause changes to the acute phase proteins which may, in turn, cause aseptic inflammatory reactions. These complications may be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs.
