Zusammenfassung:	Anterior perforations of the tympanic membrane have been previously shown to have a higher failure rate than others following tympanoplasty procedures. A technique has been previously described utilizing an anterior hitch graft stabilization with avoidance of anterior blunting of the tympanic membrane. Follow-up cases in which this technique has been utilized show greatly improved results in terms of perforation closure.
