The Short Stay Unit Observation Area was developed to provide an alternative for pediatric patients who are not ill enough to require hospitalization, yet could benefit from short-term nursing/medical care and observation. The program offers patients and families the opportunity to receive the best pediatric care while avoiding the trauma and high cost of hospitalization.
